The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children as young as 2 and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and develop leadership skills. Unified Sports is an inclusionary program that serves both individuals with and without disabilities allow them to develop friendships on and off the playing field.
