Center on Disability Studies – Transition Education

DVR Transition Education and Benefits Planning is a project of the UH Manoa Center on Disability Studies (CDS) funded by the Hawaii Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). The goal of Transition Education is to assist Hawaii students with disabilities to successfully transition from high school to postsecondary education and employment. Our staff will conduct Transition Planning Workshops for students and families in Hawaii school districts. The 90-minute presentation will cover four topic areas: Benefits Planning, Financial Literacy, Self-Advocacy and Disability Disclosure.
